porsche-design.com welcomes its visitors with this sad image. Yes, Professor Ferdinand Alexander Porsche, the designer of the first Porsche 911 died on April 5, in Salzburg, Austria at the age of 76.

His timeless functional minimalist design was recognizable from miles away. He designed everything man needs, from suitcases to watches, from jewellery to hard disks, from kitchen knives to mobile phones and much more.

His principle was: “Good design must be honest!” I personally really liked his honest design. In my opinion, we lost the most talented industrial designer ever born …
